New Boerne business park pledges profits to fight human trafficking

A new business park is under construction in Boerne, fronting Interstate 10, and its developer says a significant share of the project's profits will go to organizations fighting human trafficking.

Freedom Place Business Park will span seven buildings and 82,000 square feet aimed at tradesmen, small companies, and showroom businesses, according to a release from Freedom Place Acquisition Partners dated October 21, 2026. Each unit pairs a front office or showroom with shop and warehouse space.

The name Freedom traces to the developer's time abroad. Ben Briggs said he and his wife, Jenny, helped start a ministry serving women in their city's red-light district in Asia, many of whom had been deceived, coerced, or forced into the trade.

Briggs said the project aims to give the bulk of its profits to charities fighting human trafficking, and that the Freedom Place team has set a long-term goal of giving 50 million dollars to the cause through future projects. Those are the developer's stated aims; the release carries EIN Presswire's author-responsibility disclaimer.

Construction is expected to finish around the end of 2027. Leasing broker Jared Davis of Valcor Commercial is quoted in the release saying warehouse space with small offices continues to be in demand in Boerne and the Hill Country, with Kendall County's population up more than 20 percent since 2020.
