Development Watch: week of October 20, 2026
A weekly roundup of what is moving through Kendall County's planning pipeline: county plat and development items, City of Boerne planning and zoning cases, and TxDOT road project updates for the I-10 and Highway 46 corridors.
Roads: FM 3351 and the SH 46 corridor
TxDOT is proposing to widen FM 3351 between Desperado Way and SH 46. On the larger FM 3351 corridor project, running from I-10 to SH 46, environmental studies and schematic design are in progress, and the current design includes a 10-foot shared-use path on the west side of the road.
At US 281 and SH 46, the contractor is performing nighttime paving operations for the final surface of SH 46. Traffic signal installation and roadside work remain.
County agendas
The Wire reviewed the Kendall County Commissioners Court agendas for October 9, October 13, and October 15, and the posted agenda for the October 23 special called meeting. None carried plat, subdivision, or development-rule items.
